The Oklahoma Drifter
We would proudly like to introduce to you, our stallion, The Oklahoma Drifter.
Drifter is a 2019 TWHBEA stallion by Biloxi Carbon Blues and MG Gold. MG Gold is a half sister to the Hall of Famer and TWHBEA 2020 Sire of the Year by Points, Jose Jose. Drifter has 5 Hall of Famers on his 4 generation pedigree, as well as 3 World Grand Champions. Some of the greats in his pedigree include Chance's Gold Dust, Sun's Delight D., Mark of Carbon, GLL's Carbon Copy, Prides Generator, Pride of Midnight HF, Ebony's Masterpiece, Midnight Sun, and Merry Go Boy.
The Oklahoma Drifter's dam is a nationally famous mare named MG Gold by World Grand Champion Gen's Major General. MG Gold is a half sister to Jose Jose who has been a leading sire in the industry for more than a decade.
Lynette Todd, breeder of The Oklahoma Drifter, says that, "the Carbon line has put out some of the smartest best minded horses I have seen." She says that Biloxi Carbon Blues and MG Gold were as "Solid and steady as you can get." When Carbon was shipped from Tennesee the shipper and boarding farm told her to get him check, because he was so mild mannered there was no way he was a stallion.
Drifter is naturally gaited and can stay in gait in small circles. He gaits in the pasture, NO PACE. He is also exceptionally athletic, able to move with ease in any direction or speed. He is very friendly and loves attention, despite not being handled well as a colt. He is also showing promise of being exceptionally sensible.
Drifter is a smoky black, which means he carries and can pass on a cream gene to create a palomino, buckskin or smoky black. We are very excited to cross him on our bay mares.
We will be thrilled to share updates on the TangleWoods Walkers Facebook Page as we begin our adventures with this special horse.

Drifter is exceedingly kind and sweet. Clockwise from Top Left our daughter shares a sweet moment with Drifter; Drifter and I; Drifter and I pause during a training session; Drifter grazing in his pasture.
